	　　客人付錢進貓頭鷹咖啡店，經店員解說後，可以與貓頭鷹近距離互動，讓它們站在客人手腕上拍照。店內展示各品種的貓頭鷹，當他們在休息時，店家會提醒客人不要打擾他們。客人停留在咖啡廳30分到1小時期間，透過與貓頭鷹互動獲得療愈，但奇妙體驗的代價不菲，貓頭鷹得一年365日，全天待在咖啡廳狹小空間。</div>

	　　離職員工爆料，短短1年內，店內30只貓頭鷹就有7只死亡。原因是長時間被拘束在咖啡廳中，無法自由活動，另外還要受到陌生客人擅自撫摸，造成它們壓力。也許是自然界生物不適應人工馴養，在店內的貓頭鷹就算身體狀況差，也無法躲起來等待體力恢復，甚至有的貓頭鷹在店員發現狀況不佳前，就從樹枝倒下直接死亡。</div>

	　　另外《現代ビジネス》也指出其他問題。怕在客人面前大小便，貓頭鷹無法自由喝水。爲讓客人輕易拍照，讓原本習慣在高處捕食獵物的貓頭鷹，綁在低處的地方。對原本是獨行動物貓頭鷹來說，與其他種貓頭鷹關在同個空間，會使它們處在壓力狀況。另外店內聒噪聲音和過度明亮的光線，也會造成它們不適。</div>
